What is TALENTCUP?

TALENTCUP is a competition platform within the TALENT14 Platform.

There are 2 different competition types: Exercise and Project-based.

Exercise : It is a type of competition in which the tasks specified in the competition and located on the talent14 platform must be completed.

Project : This is the type of competition that requires preparing a project file according to the format specified in the description and uploading the code contents to the relevant section on the platform.

COMPETITION PARTICIPATION STAGES

  1. Having a TALENT14 Individual Premium subscription or being a part of corporate member schools.
  2. Having the Pinoo kit and related sensors.
  3. Participated in both stages with the "JOIN" button
  4. Must have met the platform activity requirement for at least 10 days
  5. Upload your project to platforms like Youtube, Vimeo, Google Drive, OneDrive etc. (public or private) and share the video link with us.

Competition Theme

Home Automation Systems

Home automation systems are a theme we choose for projects that aim to make living spaces more comfortable, safe and energy efficient.
You can offer innovative solutions to various problems encountered in daily life by using various Pinoo modules and sensors in your projects.

Job Description: Teams must design and develop an automation system that will improve smart home living.
The system must be implemented using at least three different sensors and modules and must effectively solve the identified problem.
The project will be evaluated according to criteria such as functionality, creativity, aesthetic presentation, etc.

Each team participating in our competition will record a short video explaining the project they have completed and share it with us. They will add the documents they have prepared such as flow diagrams, mind maps, etc. to the system.
In these videos, we expect them to explain how their projects work, which sensors and modules they use, the challenges they face and their solutions.
In this way, we aim to create an experience-sharing environment where all teams can draw inspiration from each other.

Problems to focus on:
Energy Efficiency: Optimizing electricity consumption etc.
Security: Increasing home security, etc.
Comfort: Making living spaces more comfortable, etc.

Sample Project Ideas


Intelligent Lighting System
Purpose: To save energy by automatically controlling the lights in the rooms.

Smart Security System
Purpose: To provide motion, sound and entry controls to increase home security.

Smart Air Conditioning System
Purpose: To increase comfort and reduce energy consumption by optimizing temperature and humidity levels in the home.

Smart Curtain or Window Control
Problem: Trouble opening/closing curtains manually during the day.

Smart Door and Window Security System
Problem: Theft and security risks associated with leaving doors and windows open.
